The Principle

We are able to predict the heat demand for a building based on weather forecast data.

This can be used to aggregate the expected demand bottom-up.

Moreover, it can even be used for a simple automatic balancing algorithm based on cooperative behaviour.

This approach eliminates the direct financial award and therefore the complex metering and billing by setting simple rules.

Knowing the demand for the day such a system can shift the load in a certain window without affecting the comfort of the user.

This way the user stays in control but his system does its best to help the grid.

Das Prinzip

Wir sind in der Lage, den Wärmebedarf (bzw. Kühlbedarf) eines Gebäudes anhand von Wetterprognosen für die nächsten 24-48 Stunden vorherzusagen.

Das kann genutzt werden, um ein bottom-up Aggregat des Bedarfs zu erstellen.

Zusätzlich kann man darauf ein sehr einfaches, automatisches Lastmanagement aufbauen, das einem kooperativen Algorithmus (Pareto-Optimierung) folgt.

Dieser Ansatz eliminiert direkte finanzielle Anreize für den Kunden und damit auch das komplexe Messen und Billing.

Kennt man den Bedarf für den Tag, so ist so ein System in der Lage, die Last innerhalb gewisser Zeitfenster zu verschieben, ohne dass es einen Effekt auf den Komfort des Benutzers hat.

Auf diese Art bleibt die Kontrolle beim Benutzer, aber sein System tut sein bestes, um dem Netz zu helfen.

  • Collect data and bottom-up predictions for your conventional operation planning.
  • Use simple signals like flow temperature or electric power frequency and a decentral system in the building can decide if it can afford to take more or less power and help the grid.
